NOTE: This project fills up quickly. If this was your 1st or 2nd choice and don't get in this year, you will get first priority to join next year.
Build your own sewing kit, learn sewing basics starting with hand-stitching and progressing to machine sewing. Sewing projects include simple craft to wear-able gament. Participant own machine is a perk but not required.
Participant Goals:
Build your own sewing kit
Learn about sewing tools
Learn basic hand sewing skills
Learn basic machine sewing
Create a project for county fair entry
Participate in 4-H fashion review (optional)
Materials needed
sewing kit (we will source as many items from discount and used forums/stores)
sewing machine (if you have one)
Age: 9+
Limit: 10 participants
When: tentatively 3rd Tuesdays 5:30-7pm
Where: Castro Valley near Proctor
Cost: TBD depending on what you want to make but we do have A LOT of supplies to use for no cost
