Each family is requested to bring food for the potluck that can serve 6-10 people. The categories are broken up alphabetically by youth member's last name starting with these letters:
A-J: Side dish
L-Z: Main dish
Dessert, drinks, plates, cups, utensils, napkins will be provided. Please mark your serving dish and serving spoon/utensil with your name.
Details:
During the evening, we will have the 2 auctions and a sale, plus there will be breaks a candy guessing contest, and a holiday hat contest. We will have prizes for the 3 best holiday hats.
NEW Auctions this year:
We have so many projects this year we had to split them up into 3 categories, Silent Auction, Fixed Price Sale and Live Auction.
Your family will receive a numbered paddle and bid tracker when you sign in. When you win an item (have the highest bid), you will bring your paddle number and bid tracker with you to claim your item. You can tally your items as you go. At the end of the auction our Officers will tally your total and you can pay in cash or check.
Live Auction:
Starts at 7:00pm. Some project contributions have multiple items. If your project has 10 items in the live auction, the highest bidder goes to the stage and gets first choice out of all of the items from that project and can pick anyone's item. Then the auctioneer will ask if anyone else wants to pay that same amount and they will come up and pick next, until that project's items are all gone. If you want the item your child made, you will want to be the highest bidder for that project. Usually kids want the item that they made themselves.. It's really fun to let your kids do the bidding but discuss your max bid before the auction starts (if someone else outbids and chooses their item, they did a great job making a fabulous item that helps support our club). Some items go for $6-15 but we have had items go for $40-$100+. This fundraiser allows our club to not charge additional dues for rent, events, awards, project support, etc. since the $100 4-H enrollment fee only goes to state and county 4-H with $0 to us.
Silent Auction items:
Silent auction starts at 6:00pm. There will be a sign up sheet with minimum bids for each items. Whomever has the highest bid at 6:45pm will win that item. Winners will be announced and items picked up before Live Auction begins.
Fixed Price Sale items:
Sale opens at 6:00pm and ends when items are gone, sale will pause during live auction. First come first served. All items will have a price tag, and some made individually will have members name who made it.
We are so excited to celebrate the holiday season with you at our biggest social event of the year!

Instead of charging an additional Club Fee, Redwood 4-H Club relies on fundraising to pay for all of our club expenses (meeting room rental, events, snacks, leader enrollment fees, project supplies, awards, parties, etc).
We’ll receive the profits from any items you purchase in our storefront: chocolates, gifts, candies, bags, even gift cards!
Order to help us reach our fundraising goal! Orders will be delivered directly to you and the prices are the same as in store.
Share your link with your friends and family, these make great gifts, too!
The 4-H Cake Booth at the Alameda County Fair is the MAIN FUNDRAISER for Alameda County 4-H! Plus, each club that participates earns a rebate back to their club. Volunteers get a parking pass and admission ticket to the fair. Funds raised through the Cake Booth help to pay for countywide events such as Skate Night, Achievement Ceremony and Awards, Presentation Day, Field Days, Summer Camp, Conference Reimbursements and much more! Plus it gives money to Redwood 4-H to help cover our operating expenses.
Stay tuned for sign up sometime between June 19 - July 12, 2026.
