Returning Youth Members

**DO NOT** create a new profile if you have been enrolled at any time prior to July 2023. Families that were active in 4-H online anytime from 2018 to 2023, will have the same login email for ZSuite, but will need to click "Forgot Password" and reset the password. The link is on the system login page.

New Youth Members

New families (never enrolled in 4-H) will create a new household profile in the ZSuite system.

Step 2 Details:

Under "Units" click +Add Unit button, select "Redwood 4-H Club".
Under Unit Roles and Select "Member"

Under "Projects" add "Group-Determined" to complete ZSuite enrollment from "In Progress" to "Pending".

Note: We do not use ZSuite for Project Sign Up. If you add additional projects in ZSuite, we will not see them. Due to timing not all Projects are listed in ZSuite before we open our Project Sign Up, so we only use your google form response in Step 1 with your top ranked choices to assign projects to members. After project rosters are announced, we will submit your confirmed projects to County and they will go back in and update your Projects in ZSuite.

Under "Units" click +Add Unit button, select "Redwood 4-H Club"

Under "Unit Roles" and Select "Member"

It takes ~10 minutes to fill out the ZSuite registration and sign the waivers.

Some Projects (like Rising Stars, State Exchange, Guide Dogs, Teen Project and Square Dancing projects) are countywide projects. Sign up for those projects in ZSuite.

Step 3 Details. Lastly, pay annual $150* youth annual enrollment fee to State. DO NOT pay the $30 for adult volunteer fee without talking to Club Leader first, only confirmed Project Leaders need to pay this fee.
Print or save a PDF of your receipt. County office will review payment and complete your youth's enrollment changing status from "Pending" to "Active".

Make sure to select "Redwood 4-H" as your primary club in ZSuite and ucanr.edu.

Tips: Type "none" in the Adult $30 fee section. If you have issues submitting, check and uncheck the boxes until the text changes to green, or you get a green "OK!" next to the required fields.

Select "Redwood 4-H" as your primary club"

Make sure all fields say "OK!" and the blue text color changes to green by checking and unchecking all of the boxes.

Redwood 4-H Club Leaders will email you which projects you have been enrolled in, and your Project Leader(s) will contact you with more information about Project Meetings. Most projects start in October. You are welcome to come to our first Community Club Meeting to learn more about Redwood 4-H activities.

4-H youth membership is $150* paid to Alameda County 4-H. The money goes to 4-H county and state, and not our club. Annual fee allows youth to join projects offered by our club as well as county wide projects and covers insurance, trainings and volunteer background checks.

Parents/Adults DO NOT need to sign up nor pay $30, (only Project Leaders need to sign up and Redwood 4-H will pay their $30 fee).
