Learn what the Global Positioning System (GPS) is and how it can be used to locate your position and to navigate to other positions on the globe. Learn what a geocache is and about different types of geocaches. Learn how to use an app on a smartphone to navigate to a geocache. Understand the basics of finding and hiding geocaches and learning the proper etiquette and respect for nature. Practice finding and logging geocaches.

When: 1st Sunday of the month, weather permitting
Where: Various locations around the East Bay
Cost: no cost
