NOTE: This project fills up quickly. If this was your 1st or 2nd choice and don't get in this year, you will get first priority to join next year.
Explore local parks to learn about natural and agricultural history of the East Bay and to learn about parks from fighting wildfires to managing trails. This project will not start until the Spring.
Age: all ages
Limit: 8-12 members
When: Four meetings - 3 field trips from 2-3 hours. Location and date will vary and depend on staff availability at parks, 1 holiday meeting to do crafts for 1 hour.
Cost: TBD. (Last year was $3.50 per ride on Tilden steam train)

Visit Garin Red Barn & learn about farming/ranching history in Hayward area
Tilden Regional Park
Visit Tilden steam trains & fire house - learn about another regional park and meet some of the firefighters
Ardenwood Regional Park
Visit Ardenwood, learn more about Fremont farming history and maybe visit with another 4-H club members
